Everything is going good this week. Started to watch some of the films finally. The first film Kevin showed us in class I thought was really good and I hope the rest are at the same level, but I know better. For my next animations the directors want my proposals to be hyper-realistic. So I am looking at some tutorials online and last years archive to try and find some inspiration. Found a couple of idea but nothing concrete yet.
Also watched Helvetica today as was assigned by Shannon. She has been preaching to us since the beginning of the year of the importance of fonts. The documentary was really good though, I find myself analyzing and noticing fonts a lot more on billboard or buildings. Ill save my thoughts of the DVD for the 1 page paper we need to write for it. I have to say though that I look at fonts a whole new way. I also find myself trying to find other businesses that use helvetica, my menu this afternoon used helvetica. Another bit of useless information that is going to plague my mind with the rest of them but at least I have a new game to play in the city.
