Fall Semester Round Up

The end of the first half is nearly upon us. Break could not get here soon enough, it feels like Thanksgiving break was ages ago. Anyways, now the hard part is over, at least for the art department for figuring out a design and theme, now that we have those in place plus a little practice the next semester should be a breeze with these animations. The only thing that can harm me is myself though, if I keep pushing them back and thinking pulling all nighters is regular.

Come to think of it, I am not sure how excited I am to watch these films coming in. Like I am expecting some of them to be really bad, like worse then a couple of my films, plus I am starting to hate movies anyways. But hey, its hard to complain about sitting down, relaxing, and watching a film with friends regardless if its good or not. Most of the times it is better when the film is bad.

Like I was talking about before, next semester should not be as bumpy as the first. We have some experience, I am a lot more comfortable with Adobe After Effects, Illustrator and the works. Hopefully we can make some cooler art pieces, God Willing we get some stickers soon. But until then au revoir.

holiday animation

For the holiday animation we are going to have all of the holidays symbols, christmas tree, stockings, David Star, you know all the basics. Simple looping animations for each of the objects to make the scene feel more alive, as always. Then there is going to be a present that is obviously shaped like a spaceship. Cosmo looks back at the camera and tilts down his glasses. The rocket ship is a good motif because then we can use it for next animation when we all come back from break. A cheesy comment like Cosmo got some New toys, or something like that. Also the rocket ship can be used in the future too for going to different planets. We were even talking about each planet be a different sponsor. Still not sure if I am going to photoshop images from the internet for the background or draw then Ill probably incorporate them both.

Still have to come up with a song for this animation. As for sound fx for the next person, because supposedly this is going to be a manual for the next person. In that case, I feel extremely sorry for the next person if they actually read through my rumblings. Do not worry at the end of the semester I will have a master folder of all the files and a nice bulleted point manual. As for sound fx make sure you talk to Aaron about acquiring the school sound fx library harddrive. Ton of great, clean, sounds for any occasion, it will take about 30 minutes to download so make sure you have your charger. If you cannot find a sound you are looking for you can always go to youtube and convert the files.
